I grew up in the country around Tavistock, Ontario, and was one of four children. Our age differences meant we had full, separate lives; I spent much of my time walking through farm fields, exploring hidden visual moments amongst the tangles of streams, small animals, and native plants. The native plants and their ever-changing forms inspired the GATHERING series of meadow botanicals.
As a multidisciplinary artist, I am driven by experimentation. I play with different combinations of materials and love the challenge of exploring abstraction in the natural world.
